A lot of people jump into the Internet these days with the hope of making a living. They have heard that it is easy, fast, and they really believe it.
They start trying this and that and jump into all the new opportunities they find, but end up with poor results.
90% of these people don’t make any money, while the other 8% make a few dollars here and there. Neither group manages to make a living online. Just 2% of these people can get it right and make a living online.
When people see that making a living on the Internet is not as easy as they heard, they get all frustrated and start complaining.
The point is that they don’t realize that in order to make a huge amount of money on the Internet, you need to have a system in place. It is not just a system, you need the right system, a system that works.
When it comes to this business, there are two crucial elements that you need to keep in mind:
- Front-end
- Back-end
Basically the Front-end is where the process begins. It is the external part of your business and its’ mission is to collect information about your prospects and transfer it to the Back-end.
The Front-end has many components, which include:
– Your product information
– The webpage where you put your opt-in form and receive visitors’ names and e-mail addresses
– The methods you use to send people to your website
In other words, it is all the strategies and resources you use to acquire new prospects and customers. You always have to apply changes to improve it. It requires a lot of work.
The Back-end needs less work and effort. For example, people on your e-mail list are there, in the Back-end of your business.
You can put it on autopilot using your autoresponder. Simply pre-load it with a sequence of follow up messages that give good tips and offer the products you are selling.
At this point, you just have to measure the results you are getting. This way, you can improve that and still not have to do a lot of work.
I hope that now you understand the importance of having a proven system in place.
For example, as you know you have to work hard to promote your business and make people visit your site, but if you are not able to move them from the Front-end to the Back-end, all that work is wasted.
In your Front-end, you need an incentive to grab people. You need to give them something really good in exchange of the information you want, their names and e-mail addresses, so that you can continue contacting them.
This is when your autoresponder starts its work. You can see that, even if you have to test and track it, it is easier than the Front-end.
An important thing to understand here is that your business works as a system. All the elements play a role, which may be more or less important, but they are all necessities for running your business.
It is like a chain, there are links that are stronger and more important than others. But if any of these links break, no matter which, everything that chain was holding falls.
This is one of the main reasons many people don’t make any money online. They don’t understand the power of having a system in place nor how to set one up.
There are other important elements in the system you have to have in place, but I’ll talk about them in another post. But before I go let me ask you a question…
Do you have an effective system in place?
I would like to hear what you think about this, so please leave your comments.
And now I would like to invite you to discover how to get your own Internet business up and running and 30 days or less when you Click Here
Thanks!

April 2, 2010The problem is that with most of us when we were “newbies” crikey I hate that term, is that we spent most of our time sitting on our Back-End then there comes a time, one post you read, that one email from that one person that clicked it all into place. For sure, You’ll never create a profitable sales funnel unless you can eventually put those essential procedural steps into place.
The best advice I ever got was to actually read and start to implement all that content that I had acquired.
Do yourself a favour, the next time you sign up for something or purchase something. READ IT!!

April 2, 2010Great post, almost all articles are on only one side of the system, either front or back end.
This is why people and myself are struggling, we concentrate on one side and then get frustrated when it fails to produce results.
This post opened my eyes, my backend system is probably doing alright, not making money or growing but then that’s where the stats and the front end come in, not more tweaking with cosmetics.
Best advice stop reading articles and get a mentor for each area of your system, then follow their advice

April 2, 2010You are right, you need a system that works. Trust is a big word. You have to establish yourself as a expert, then they will buy your front end. If they are happy with your front end, they may buy your backend, where you make the money. A autorestponder is key to automatically process your business. When you have a system in place, just rinse and repeat.

April 2, 2010It’s one thing having a system in place but you still need the “right” system – a free report, video or audio on the front end to get the opt-ins and then a good offer that people want on the back end.
You might have all the essentials right but then you need the traffic and that is the hard part for most people starting out.

April 2, 2010Most newbies, including myself when I started, get hyped up and expect to make $1000s right from beginning. A chance in million dream.
Best to start low, aim for $10 a day with a simple system until achieved. Once you have your $10 a day established, aim for $50; then 100 a day and so on. Yes, at the beginning there’s a flat learning curve that can be frustrating, stick with it. Eventually your learning curve will become steeper and your income will increase accordingly. That’s been my experience with my hobby website, now I sit back and let it pour in handsfree.

April 26, 2010Thank you for the post. Indeed I agree with what you have so rightfully described. I also would like to add that perseverance is the key. Different people took different routes and had luck with different areas. I was lucky because I had a strong expertise I could leverage on and I exploited it to build my online business.

June 23, 2010I think many of the people trying to make money online fall for the get rich quick schemes or make money with no effort. People should realize it doesn’t work in the real world and doesn’t work online either. You need hard work and time investment to make good on making serious money online.

July 10, 2010In my opinion, another major reason why people or beginners fail to make money online is because they miss something before they start doing their internet business
Keyword Research…

August 21, 2010While you do make some good suggestions, a vital point that you should mention is how to build traffic to your site in the first place as well as keyword and market research, essential elements of any online marketing campaign.
